...and the vinyl debut (not counting Twinsistermoon's 7" & LP earlier this year) of NATURAL SNOW BUILDINGS.
I remember seeing this on the Blackest Rainbow "upcoming" section just around or before they released NSB's "Daughter Of Darkness" 5xCS. It started out as just being listed as an LP. Then a 3xLP. Then a 3xLP + 2xCD. Although it didn't take very long for it to come after the formal preorder was announced, I still couldn't believe I was holding it in my hands when it did show up on Wednesday. I had the day off of work and was just sitting in the living room watching some reruns or something, saw the mailman walk up to the door, but didn't see any sort of large package in his hands. Considering how much I order stuff online, I typically am always expecting stuff in the mail and wait impatiently for it to arrive on the days that I'm home for that to occur. This was one of the few times that I really wasn't waiting on anything other than this behemoth of an album. Considering its size/weight, and that it was coming from overseas and was only recently (maybe a week?) mailed out, I wasn't really expecting it yet, so I didn't even bother to check/bring the mail in right away. When I did get around to it, I was pleasantly surprised. Everything about the album is superb. Three heavy, 180-gram slabs of black vinyl. And I'd really like to thank Blackest Rainbow/Joe for NOT using Pirates Press. I'm not exactly an "audiophile" and I'll admit that I probably could not tell the difference just from hearing it..but PP records just look/feel...cheap.
