Pretty GREAT week...haven't listened to most of the tapes yet...just Expo 70, Everyday Loneliness, Cyquoia, and Raglani. Plan to catch up on those on Saturday. DD had just gotten all of those Klaus Schulze & Tangerine Dream LPs in last week so I grabbed the ones I knew for sure I wanted, and some others. There were a couple Klaus Schulze left, which I may or may not go to grab this weekend, if they're still there. Found out about Steve Moore (and subsequently Zombi) whilst trolling vlv like I typically do. I'd heard of Zombi, but never thought it would be something I'd be interested in. And to be honest, when I originally heard about them, I probably would not have been interested in it. But now I can get into it, but I do prefer Steve Moore's solo work. I have his other LP on the way as well. Expo 70 LP is fantastic. I really like the recent things he's done..the Night Flights LP & that Awakening cassette, and now this LP. Peasant Magik did a great job putting it altogether too. The screened poster is prety creepy. Haven't gotten to listen to the live cdr yet though. Stoked about grabbing that Cold Cave 12" since they looked to be sold out pretty quickly. I imagine they're probably at least mostly sold out by this point..it's limited to 300 and the Dais 12" sold out of two 500-run pressings (though I know you can still pretty easily grab the 2nd run). "Love Comes Close" is easily the catchiest thing they've done. And yeah, that is a Dave Matthews Band album. I guess it seems out of place. Maybe more so than the Paramore album from several weeks ago..But I'm pretty open about my love of Dave. And honestly, this album is much better than the last two, up there (or "down there," depending on where you stand..) with BTCS.
